Tenuta I Fauri is located in the heart of the province ofChieti, the southernmost province of Abruzzo, among the hills that descend fromthe Maiella to the Adriatic. Pecorino is not only the name of a sheep's cheese in Italy,it's also the name of a native white grape that thrives in the Chieti area ofAbruzzo. The vines are very near the sea and benefit from the cooling breeze ofthe ocean. The wine is quite unusual and equally lovely with a bouquetof fresh ripe banana. Bursting with flavours of white peach, apple and mint,this medium bodied wine has an elegant, long and lingering finish. A great aperitif or with white fish andchicken.
