On the palate it is powerful, concentrated and has a structured attack with a tinge of silky tannins. Red fruit aromas. It was Marius Chapoutier (Michel Chapoutier’s grandfather) who put the family name firmly on the Rhone Valley map in the early 20th century and established its reputation for quality as far afield as America.
