- Domaine Dozon, Le Petit Chemin, 2020, Eric Santier is a generous red with silky tannin's grown on 14 hectares of vines that are situated at the named vineyard "Le Saut au Loup" at Ligre on the left bank of the Vienne, the river that flows through Chinon in the Loire Valley. Domaine Dozon, Le Petit Chemin, 2020, Eric Santier is made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes that are grown in clay-silty soils on the top of a hill and benefit from southern and south-eastern sun exposure. These conditions have created a red wine that has aromas of very ripe red fruits with a dominant blackcurrant and lightly spicy notes. The palate is generous with silky tannins making it great to accompany a charcuterie or ripened cheese platter and has the ability to stand up to a roast. Domaine Dozon, Le Petit Chemin, 2020, Eric Santier has ageing potential of 3-5 years but is also fantastic to drink now. A great Loire Valley red.
