CVNE Imperial Rioja Reserva is an intensely complex wine with style, body and balance. Deep and interesting. Will benefit for ageing for many years but is already quite approachable now. A wine to savour, harvested exclusively from the high, dry chalk clay vineyards in the far northwest of Rioja Alta around the village of Villalba. Stylish, bright ruby red, very intense in colour. This CVNE Imperial Reserva Rioja has a complex, deep long nose with fine ruby red and black autumn fruit aromas with some toasty oak, a hint of balsamic and some fine oak spices. Full and meaty in the palate with great depth and a fine, long, velvety satisfying finish. 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano, 5% Mazuelo.
